New Orleans Cocktail

Impress your guests this holiday season with a delicious and elegant New Orleans Cocktail made with Evie Extra Virgin Olive Oil!

Ingredients:

Cocktail

  • 1oz Lemon grass, clove, juniper simple syrup
  • 1 oz Dandelion root tea
  • 2 oz of cardamom gin
  • .25 oz of Evie Extra Virgin Bold Olive Oil
  • .5 oz of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons aquafaba or 1 egg white
  • black sea salt rim
  • Smoked pine
  • A dash of New Orleans bitters
Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 6 cloves
  • 10 juniper seeds
  • 2 inches of lemongrass

Directions:

Simple syrup

Combine simple syrup ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, discard lemongrass, clove, and juniper set aside.

Prepare cocktail

In a small cocktail glass, run a lemon wedge along the rim or a section of the outside of the glass and roll it in black sea salt or just regular sea salt.
Make a cup of dandelion root tea and let it steep for a few minutes and remove the tea bag.

In a cocktail shaker add all of the ingredients and shake until foamy. Add in ice and shake for another 10 seconds. Add ice to the glass and pour the cocktail over the ice. Drizzle with a few drops of Evie Extra Virgin Bold Olive Oil.
